Choisy French Palissy Majolica charger which features fish, crustaceans, a frog, a tortoise, a beetle, a snail, shells and foliage. Water effect ground. Colouration: brown, green, blue, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery. Book reference ,'Bernard PALISSY et ses suiveurs…', by Christine Viennet and Paul Starosta. Page 212, figure 1.
