WMF four branched candelabra modeled as a maiden holding aloft a flower, which sprouts tendrils, terminating in four foliate sconces. The maiden's flowing dress forms the base. Four removable sconce cups with maker's mark 'I/O' to undersides. Maker's marks to underside of base including impressed 'WMF' ostrich monogram, '09', 'B' (Britannia metal, a tin and antimony alloy), 'I/O' (Normal thickness of gilding or silver plating i.e. one gram of deposited silver spread over an area of 1sq. Decimetre), 'as' (Antique silver finish, flat areas polished, relief ornament oxidized). Also impressed mark 'I/O' to base of branch section. Illustrated on front cover and color plate XII, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design Metalwork from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.
