Scroll handle and stylised scroll thumb piece on the lid. Original green glass liner. Impressed maker's marks to reverse of one foot 'WMF', 'EP' (electroplated), 'I/O' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and 'as' (antique silver finish). Illustrated on page 137, catalogue number 192, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.
