Finely cut and engraved crystal glass box which sits inside the stand. Impressed maker's mark on one side of the stand 'WMF' ostrich mark. Similar piece illustrated on page 248, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.
