WMF maiden flower dish, lacking a glass liner. Metal body with bronze color plating. The metal base has a maiden to either side with her arms spread. Her flowing hair forms the pierced stylised swirls that decorate the side of the dish. Lily pads form feet of the dish below the maiden. Flowers sprout from the base below the stylised handles, decorating the sides. Impressed marks to the back of one foot. Embossed catalogue number '331' to the back of two feet. Similar piece illustrated on page 364, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.
