Colours pinks, red, yellow, green, purples and blues. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-10 Verse reads, 'Neglect Not Thou Thy>Doing Well, But Strive>In Vertue to Excell'. Signed and dated, '1739 Elizabeth Keeling Sampler done in the 10th year of her Age Oct 13'. A scattering of motifs, including a heart, crowns and diamonds. Framed in a black ebonised wood frame with gilt slip and glass. Mounting: The sampler is fixed to card. Frame backed with chipboard and brownpaper.
