Colours green, cream, blue, copper, gold, orange, brown and black. Verse reads 'Jesus permit thy gracious name to stand> As the first effort of an infants hand> And while her fingers o'er this canvas move> Engage her tender heart to seek thy Love> With the dear children let her share a part.> And write thy Name thyself upon her> heart'. Signed and dated 'Mary Ann Livingston April 30th 1834'. A wonderful set of motifs, including a house with a garden, birds, trees, two shepherdess' with their sheep and a peacock. Framed in an old wood frame with glass. Tacked to a wood stretcher frame with a card backing.
