It reads, 'In books or work or healthful play> Let my first years be past> That I may give for every day> Some good account at last'. Signed and dated, 'Hannah Sims. August 4. 1845. Aged 9 Years'. A good set of motifs, including a house with a garden, fruit baskets, trees, crowns, birds and butterflies. Framed in a modern wood frame with glass. Tacked to board.
