Meandering floral border. Colours green, cream, copper, gold, blue and pink. Verse reads, 'Give first to God the the flower of the youth> Take for thy guide the Holy Word of Truth> Adorn thy soul with grace prize wisdom more> Than all the pearls upon the Indian shore'. Signed and dated, 'Rachel Goster Finished this April 14 1832 Aged 8 Years'. A good set of motifs, including potted flowering plants, stars, fir trees, cross, crowns, hearts, fruit baskets and butterflies.
