Meandering strawberry border. Colours black, blue, green, brown and cream. Verse reads 'Jesu permit thy gracious name to stand> As the first effort of a female hand> And whilst my fingers on the canvas move> Engage my tender heart to seek thy love'. Signed and dated 'Mary Farrall Aged 10 1834'. A good set of motifs, including a fruit tree with a snake wrapped around the turnk, flowering plants, dogs, fruit baskets, butterflies, hearts, fir tree and birds.
