The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground. Divider lines in a wonderful variety of patterns. Colours green, blue, red, white, cream and black. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case. No signature or date. Consists of a variety of elaborately worked floral and foliate bands. Motifs include: boxers; lions, an archer, acorns, flowers and thistles.
