The sampler is worked in silk and cotton on canvas ground, in cross stitch throughout. No border, divider lines in various patterns. Colours blue, yellow, white, pink, red and brown. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-9 Verse reads 'ReMeMBeR W>HATEVER YO>U TAKe IN Han>D THAT LeARN>ING IS BeTTeR> THeN HOUSe> OR LAND WH>en LAnD IS GO>Ne AnD MONey> SPenT Then> LeARnInG IS> MOST EXCeLL>enT.
