Four Antique Samplers by the Watson sisters, circa 1760s. Framed in old wood frames with with glass (2 with gilt slip). Mounted on acid free card with chipboard backing. Colours red, yellow, dark brown, pink, purple, greens and blues.
Elizabeth Watson sampler: The sampler is worked in wool on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout. Simple line border. Alphabets A-Z in upper case, numbers 1-20, and family initials.
