The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout. Decorated zig zag border. Colours greens, cream, blue, browns and grey. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-25.
Prayer reads 'Our Father which art in>Heaven Hallowed by thy Name>Thy Kingdom come thy will be done>in Earth as it is in Heaven Give us this>Day our daily Bread and for.give us Our Trespafses as we for.give them>That Trespafs Against us and Lead us>Not into Temptation but Deliver us>From evil Amen'

A wonderful set of motifs, some finely embroidered, including birds perched in treetops, complete with baby birds in a nest below, angels, flowers, birds in flight, potted flowering plants, fir tree, blossoming trees, butterflies, trees, laden with fruit and a recumbent lamb titled 'Innocence'.
