The sampler is worked in wool on canvas ground, in cross stitch throughout. No border, divider lines in various patterns. Colours pink, green and cream. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-10. Verse entitled 'REMEMBER THY CREATER' reads 'teach me the measure of my days> thou maker of my frame>I would survey life narrow space> And learn how frail I am> o may the grave become to me> The bed of peaceful rest> Whence I shall gladly rise at length> And mingle With the blest'.
